§ 2-3. How instruments executed by town.
All deeds, bonds, notes, leases, contracts, conveyances and other instruments, of whatsoever nature or description, authorized by law to be made or entered into by the town, unless otherwise specially provided by the council, shall be signed by the mayor and, when necessary, acknowledged by the mayor and sealed with the corporate seal and attested by the town clerk. Such instruments, when so signed and sealed, shall be taken as and for the true acts of the town.
